Start of 60th Frederick Police Academy
FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick Police Department is pleased to announce the start of the 60th police academy class. The 60th Police Academy began on May 14, 2018, and consists of 26 Student Officers from six (6) different agencies.

The Student Officers will undergo 1,200 hours of training in a myriad of topics which include defensive tactics, firearms, search and seizure, criminal law/investigations, first aid, emergency vehicle operations, police ethics, mental health training, communication tactics and cultural diversity.
