Through the course of the investigation and with the help of the community and witnesses Det. DeWees was able to positively identify Nicholas Alan Cahill-Lane, as the individual that committed the robbery at the M&T Bank on North Court Street.
Mr. Cahill-Lane is charged with one count of each of the following;
1) Robbery
2) Theft under $1000
3) False statement about a destructive device

Frederick Police Investigate Bank Robbery
FREDERICK, MD – This afternoon at approximately 12:09 pm, Frederick Police Department responded to the M&T Bank, located at 26 North Court Street for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, Officers were informed that the suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. There were no injuries and there was no weapon displayed during the incident.
The Frederick Police Department is asking anyone with any information or recognizes the suspect in the photo provided to please contact them immediately. The suspect is described as a
White male, approx. 6’0, wearing a burgundy zip up windbreaker jacket, jeans, grey hat, and glasses.
