On March 7th, 2018 at approximately 0915 hours Officers from the Directed Patrol team, were dispatched to the area of the 100 block of S. Market St in reference to a possible theft in progress.
A local resident observed a subject attempting to take beer from a delivery truck making a delivery in the area. This resident took photos of the subject and provided this information to the responding Officers. Officer Bentley was able to identify the subject as Anthony Scott Deluca, through numerous dealings with Deluca within the past week. Officer Bentley conducted an investigation and was able to obtain video surveillance of Deluca stealing an eight pack of “Budweiser” aluminum bottles, having an approximate value of $10.00. Deluca will be charged with theft under $100.00 and Rogue and vagabond via charging document.
At approximately 1118 hours, Officer Antczak, from the Directed Patrol Team were in the area of W South St and Ice St when they observed the same subject, Deluca, trespassing on posted private property, Deluca was issued a criminal citation for trespassing on posed property.
At approximately 1534 hours, Officer Bentley was in the area of the same private property at W South St and Ice St observed Deluca on the posted property. Deluca was placed under arrested and was transported to Frederick County Adult Detention Center for further processing.
