On 02/24/2018 at approximately 0513 hours, Frederick Police Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 1500 Block of Dockside Drive. Officers arrived and located the victim suffering from a defensive stab wound to the area of his hand. The victim was later transported to an area hospital to be treated for his wounds which were non-life threatening.
Officer Donato was later assigned as the lead investigator for the incident. Through the course of the investigation it was determined the suspect and victim were involved in a heated argument that turned physical. The suspect picked up a large kitchen knife and began to violently stab at the victim. The victim was stabbed in the area of the hand as he tried to block the attack. The suspect was fully identified as Travis Aaron Ridenour. The suspect and the victim were known to one another prior to the assault.
The suspect was later transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center without incident and charged with the below listed offenses.
