Frederick Police Arrest 5 for Robbery

FREDERICK, MD – On 02/01/18 at approx. 2028hrs FPD officers responded to the area of 10 Hillcrest Drive for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, Patrol Officers located a Male victim. The victim advised several Black Males had accosted him on a footpath connecting Hillcrest Drive to residential areas. The victim was assaulted and had several items taken from him. The victim was able to provide Police with a description of the suspects. The victim sustained minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.
Patrol Officers began searching the area and located 4 Black Males and one Asian Male matching the description of the suspects. All 5 males were detained and two of them were positively identified as the individuals that assaulted and took the items from the victim. Those two individuals were identified as “Juvenile #1” and Omar Malik Bah.
During the course of the investigation, all 5 individuals were patted down for weapons. During the pat-down Officers located 2 loaded handguns. Those guns were located on Omar Malik Bah and Michael Eugene Warfield Jr. The other individuals identified as being involved in this incident are Kermee Adile Dormeyan Jr. and Cung Chin Thang.
The Frederick Police Department has identified a series of assaults and robberies that have occurred on footpaths in the Hillcrest area. During several of these incidents, there have been weapons displayed. The Frederick Police Department has distributed Community Crime Notifications and Bulletins in that area in English and Spanish to notify both the community and the Officers that patrol that area. The suspects in these incidents described are the same individuals that were arrested this evening.
