On Friday, 01/26/2018 at approximately 0153 hours, Officers from the Frederick Police Department were conducting patrol checks in the area of Amber Drive at Noblewood Court for subjects breaking into vehicles. At this time they observed a vehicle parked in the 1800 block of Noblewood Court with the dome light on and passenger door open.
Upon approaching the vehicle, a male suspect was noted inside the vehicle on the passenger side. The suspect then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the area. A brief foot chase ensued and the suspect was apprehended a short distance from the scene by Officer Francis Donato. The suspect was fully identified as, Damion Deshawn Wulah DOB: 09/22/1999.
Officer Donato contacted the vehicle owner who confirmed the suspect entered the vehicle without her authorization. Also, the suspect was unknown to the victim. A search of the suspect yielded missing items from the victim’s vehicle on his person.
The suspect was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner and charged with the below listed offenses.
The Frederick Police Department continues to increase patrols in the area. The Frederick Police Department would also like to remind citizens to keep their vehicles locked at all times.
