Frederick, MD.-On December 31st, 2017 at approximately 5:38 p.m. OFC. Ryan Stotler was on routine patrol in the area of Taney Avenue near the Hampton Inn hotel located 1565 Opossumtown Pike. During this time, OFC. Stotler noticed an Acura SUV traveling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed. OFC. Stotler followed the vehicle to the Hampton Inn parking lot where it pulled into a parking space.
OFC. Stotler was able to make contact with the vehicle’s driver, later identified as Ferguson, and learned his privilege to drive in Maryland was currently suspended and revoked. OFC. Stotler also found the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Montgomery County, Maryland. As a result, Ferguson was taken into custody and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center’s Central Booking Unit for processing.
