On 10/31/17, FPD officers responded to an armed robbery in the unit block of Hillcrest Drive. The victim told officers on scene that a male suspect entered the Family Footcare office at 10 Hillcrest Dr. and pointed a handgun at him, demanding money. After the victim handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot. The case was assigned to Detective Kevin Forrest of the Criminal Investigation Section.
During the course of the investigation, detectives were able to determine that the victim and the suspect were acquainted, and the suspect was identified as Matthew Tyler Lieb, of Frederick. Lieb was located on 11/6 and arrested. While speaking with detectives, Lieb admitted his involvement in the robbery and evidence was recovered to corroborate the victim's statements. No one was injured during the incident.
