FPD investigates storage unit burglary
FREDERICK,
MD – On 10/28/17 at approx. 0930hrs Patrol officers responded to a business
identified as Public Storage located at 396 Prospect Blvd. for a report of a
burglary. Upon arrival patrol officers
found that approximately 250 units had been compromised.
Investigators
were called to the scene and determined that the incident occurred between 1800
hours on 10/27/2017 thru 10/28/2017 @ 1006 hours. No further suspect description is available
at this time.
The department
has a list of who the storage units are registered to and we are still trying
to identify the victims. Those victims
already identified have been contacted and detectives are arranging interviews at
this time. Detectives are also compiling an inventory of any
items that were taken from the units.
