On 8/30/2017 at approximately 1:55 pm for a welfare check on a male who appeared passed out in a running vehicle. Citizens advised that they tried to wake the male in the area of Fleming Ave and Upper College Ave. Upon arrival Officer were able to wake the male and identify him as Michael Melton (DOB 3/31/81). In plain view Officers observed drug paraphernalia on the center console. Through further investigation Melton was found to have a warrant through Prince Georges County for driving offenses and his license status was currently suspended.
Melton was placed under arrest. Search incident to arrest Officers located a silver,metal smoking pipe, suspected quantities of heroin and cocaine, and a red straw with suspected cocaine residue.
Melton was taken to Central Booking for processing.
