On Monday, 08/14/2017 at approximately 0245 hours, Officers from the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to the 7-Eleven on Amber Drive for a report of an armed robbery. The Black Male suspect entered the store and displayed a knife. The suspect demanded the clerk give him money from the register. The suspect then fled on foot. No one was injured in regards to the incident. Detective Irons responded to the incident and assigned as the lead investigator.
On 08/23/2017 Detective Irons, based on the evidence collected and victim/witness statements applied for a statement of charges against Timothy Pernell Goines related to the armed robbery. A District Court Commissioner issued an arrest warrant charging Timothy Goines with the below listed offenses.
On 08/23/2017 at approximately 1534 hours, Officers with the Frederick Police Department Street Crimes Unit located the suspect in the 800 block of Stratford Way. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was taken to the Frederick Police Department, Criminal Investigation Section to be interviewed. The suspect was then taken without incident to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
