On 08/01/2017 at approximately 0636 hours, the Frederick Police Department received a report of a missing person. Detective Loftis was later assigned as the lead investigator for this incident.
The missing person is Walter Keefer Forney Sr. an 88-year -old white male. Walter Keefer Forney Sr. was last seen about 0600hrs on Tuesday, 08/01/2017 leaving his house in the 500 block of Mary St. Walter Keefer Forney Sr. left in his vehicle a 2014 Ford Focus grey in color bearing a Maryland tag of 1BN1943. At this time, the whereabouts of Mr. Forney is unknown.
Walter Keefer Forney Sr. is described as follows:

- 88 years of age
- Grey hair
- Approximately 5’06” in height
- Approximately 240 pounds
