National Night Out Celebration – Tuesday, August 1st from 6-9 pm
FREDERICK, MD - The Frederick Police Department along with our community partners are encouraging residents to leave their homes, lock their doors, turn their front porch lights on and spend the evening outside with neighbors and the Frederick Police Department. National Night Out is being held on Tuesday, August 1st from 6–9 pm at Carrollton Park, Hill Street Park, Mullinix Park and in the Lucas Village Community.
National Night Out is designed to promote community-police partnerships; crime, drug and violence prevention; safety; and neighborhood unity. Last year’s National Night Out campaign involved over 38 million people, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 16,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.
This year the Frederick Police Department along with our community partners will be holding National Night Out in four (4) areas of the city:
