3 Charged in Robbery and Assault

FREDERICK, MD – On 5/24/2017 at approximately 2345 hours Officers from the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to the 2100BLK of Bristol Drive for a report of an assault. Upon arriving to the area, Patrol Officers made contact with victim, who advised he had been assaulted in a parking lot by the McDonald’s on Yellow Springs Road.

The victim stated that two males approached him and a female companion, later identified as Samantha McClellan, in a park and asked them for some cigarettes. The males followed the victim and Ms. McClellan back toward her vehicle when they assaulted him and took several personal items. The victim then returned home and called 911. The victim was later transported to a local area trauma center with significant injuries, and remains hospitalized at this time.

Through the investigation, Detectives were able to determine that Ms. McClellan was familiar with the suspects and had lured the victim to the scene. Mark Anthony Jacobs, and Davonte Ezeckiel Thomas were identified as the suspects that committed the assault and robbery.

All three individuals were taken into custody and taken to FPD HQ for questioning. After being interviewed, all three were taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and are waiting to see the District Court Commissioner at this time.
