Police seek assistance in identifying robbery suspect
FREDERICK, MD – On 4/2/2017 at approximately 0209hours Officers from the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to the Dunkin’ Donuts on West Patrick Street for a report of an armed robbery. In this case a Black Male with short cut hair, between 30-40 years of age entered the store and displayed a handgun. The suspect forced the cashier to give him the money out of the register. The suspect then fled to the rear of the store.
On 4/10/2017 at approximately 1136hours officers from the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to the Freestate gas station on West Patrick Street for a report of an armed robbery. In this case a Black Male with short cut hair, between 30-40 years of age entered the store and displayed a handgun. The suspect forced the cashier to give him the money out of the register. The suspect then fled to the rear of the store.
In both cases a perimeter was quickly established and K9 tracks were attempted. Detectives and Officers also canvassed the area for witnesses and video of where the suspect might have fled to. At this time we have no further information on the suspect. We do believe based on the timeframe, locations and descriptions that this could possibly be related.
