On 04-19-2017, officers of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign in the area of Seneca Drive and Himes Avenue.
A traffic stop was initiated and conducted in the area of Himes Avenue and Butterfly Lane. Contact was made with the driver, who was identified as Kimberlee Ann Jaynes. During the traffic stop, a K9 police unit was called and conducted a sniff of the vehicle. A positive alert resulted from the sniff. When the officer removed Jaynes from the vehicle she admitted to having, in her possession, a pill bottle that contained 100 Oxycodone pills. The bottle was a plain, white bottle with a mutilated label.
Officers were able to confirm the pills were 5mg Oxycodone Hydrochloride tablets. As a result, Jaynes was placed under arrest for possessing the Oxycodone with the intent to distribute based on the amount of pills and her admission she was going to sell them.
Jaynes was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
All events occurred in Frederick County, MD.
