FPD Detectives charge on 4 Burglaries
FREDERICK, MD – Starting in mid-March 2017 FPD and the FCSO began receive reports of burglaries that all contained a similar pattern. During the course of these residential burglaries various items were stolen, to include jewelry, televisions, and other various electronics and gaming systems. During the course of the investigation, information was developed that Joseph Paul White (W/M DOB 9/17/96) was responsible for the burglaries and was still in possession of some of the property.
On 4/14/17 members of the Frederick Police Departments Street Crimes Unit, conducted a surveillance operation. They observed Mr. White acting suspicious, approached, and detained him and another person he was with. That person was later questioned and released without charges. At that time Mr. White was found to be in possession of stolen property from a burglary that occurred on 4/08/17. Mr. White was placed under arrest and taken to FPD HQ for questioning.
While Mr. White was being questioned, a Search and Seizure Warrant was applied for and obtained for Mr. White’s residence in the 500BLK of Old Stage Rd. During the service of the Search Warrant members from FPD and the FCSO recovered various taken during the burglaries.
At this time Mr. White is at the FCADC and being held with a no bond status. On the following charges;
4 counts of 1st Degree Burglary
4 counts of Malicious Destruction of Property
Detectives believe that more charges could be forthcoming.
