On 03/27/2017 at approximately 3:41 PM, Frederick Police officers responded to the scene of a Strong Arm Robbery that occurred in the area of Old Farm Drive and Yellow Springs Road. Upon arrival, officers noted minor contusions to the area of the victims head. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.
Detective Putman responded and assigned as the lead investigator in this case. Through the investigation, Detective Putman was able to identify the suspect in this case to be Ali Mohamad Salekh of Adamstown, MD. The investigation revealed that Salekh assaulted the victim over payment of a debt owed to the suspect. The suspect then deprived the victim of U.S. Currency. The suspect and victim, known to one another prior to the robbery.
The suspect, who fled the scene after the incident, returned to the area and taken into custody. Detective Putman transported the suspect to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
