The Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit has charged a male and female who burglarized the Snax Old Farm convenient store

On 01-01-2017, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the Snax Old Farm convenient store, located at 2050 Yellow Springs Road, in reference to a commercial burglary.

Through the initial investigation, it was found the suspects broke the glass door to the business using a brick, after multiple failed attempts to break the door by hitting and kicking it.  After the glass was broken, one of the suspects made entry into the business and stole multiple items, including currency and cigarettes.

On 02-25-2017, officers responded to the same business in reference to an attempted burglary that occurred several days earlier, on 02-23-2017.  During this incident, there was only one suspect involved.  The suspect was observed on video surveillance trying to break the glass door multiple times with another brick, but was unsuccessful and left.

Both cases were assigned to Detective Michael Murphy, of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit.  Through video surveillance of the two incidents, and other evidence and information obtained through the investigation, two suspects were positively identified and subsequently charged.  In reference to the first burglary on 01-01-2017, Lindsay Elizabeth Sulima and John Jesse Luciano Sedillo were found to be responsible.  As for the incident occurring on 02-23-2017, it was found Sulima acted alone in her failed attempt to break into the business.

Criminal charges were applied for through the Frederick County District Court Commissioner’s Office, charging Sulima and Sedillo with charges related to burglary and theft.   Criminal arrest warrants were issued in reference to these incidents.  On 03-09-2017, Sulima and Sedillo were arrested based on the warrants.
