[ARCHIVED] Police Warn Community of New Telephone Scam


The Frederick Police Department would like to warn the community of a new telephone scam.

Victims have reported that a group of males with thick accents have contacted them advising a family member was involved in an accident.  The suspect are threatening and intimidating when they demanded money.  

Please contact the police if you receive a phone call related to the telephone scam.  Do not give out your personal information or provide the caller with family member's information.
