Arrest Warrants Issued For Two Suspects in Shooting Incident (FPD)

On 12/29/2016 at approximately 1433 hours, officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to a shooting that occurred in the parking lot at the Latino Market located at 10 Hillcrest Drive, Frederick, MD.

Upon arrival it was determined a large fight broke out with several subjects involved in the altercation. A male victim was located in the area of the incident suffering from a gunshot wound to the area of his ankle. The victim was later transported to an area hospital for treatment for his non-life threatening injuries. The shooter and accomplices fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Section responded to investigate the incident. The case was assigned to Detective Kevin Forrest.

Through the subsequent investigation, two suspects at this time were identified as being responsible for the assault. Detective Forrest applied for charges regarding the two suspects and arrest warrants have been issued.

Jose Douglas Castellanos-Hernandez has been identified as the shooter in the incident. Also Eduardo Francisco Urbina-Rodriguez has been fully identified and charged in the assault.

Both suspects, Castellanos-Hernandez and Urbina-Rodriguez remain at large at this time. The suspects may be traveling outside of the Frederick area.
