On 12-07-2016, officers of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit were patrolling in the area of the 600 block of N. Bentz Street, Frederick, Maryland. While stopped at a traffic light, officers observed a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle that was stolen on 12-06-2016.
As a result, officers followed the vehicle and confirmed it was stolen through the Frederick Police Department Communications Section. A traffic stop was initiated and conducted in the area of the 100 block of S. Jefferson Street.
Officers removed the two occupants and placed them under arrest. In addition, the driver, who was identified as Victor Eugene Ferguson, had multiple MD Driver License suspensions and revocations. A search of the vehicle also revealed synthetic drugs. The passenger was released at the scene.
Ferguson was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
