On December 2nd, 2016, Detective McPeak of the Frederick Police Department charged Michael Jentry Lee, of Hagerstown, for a home invasion armed robbery that occurred in July of 2015.
In the late night hours of July 18th, 2015, Frederick Police responded to a robbery that had just occurred in the 1300 block of Motter Avenue in Frederick. According to the victims, residents responded to a knock at the front door, and two male suspects forced their way inside the house. One of the suspects, who was wearing a mask over his face, pushed the male resident away from the doorway and pointed a gun at him. The two suspects then searched the house for valuables and stole cash and other items.
In March of this year, DNA evidence from the scene was found to be a possible match with Lee, who is currently incarcerated in Washington County. Through further investigation, detectives were able to establish that the DNA collected from the scene of the home invasion was in fact a match with Lee.
