On Thursday evening May 19, 2016, outstanding preservation efforts throughout The City of Frederick were honored by Mayor Randy McClement and the Historic Preservation Commission.
City Presents Historic Preservation Awards
Frederick, MD – May 20, 2016: On Thursday evening May 19, 2016, outstanding preservation efforts throughout The City of Frederick were honored by Mayor Randy McClement and the Historic Preservation Commission. Awards were given to the following dedicated individuals and organizations:
• The “Bricks and Mortar Rehabilitation” award went to Sarah Thiel Butner for superlative restoration and rehabilitation work 41 & 43 East 5th.
• Kate McConnell was the winner in the category of “Community Leadership” for her extraordinary service to the City in the field of historic preservation.
• The “Craftsmanship” award went to CV Frederick, LLC, HBW Group, and Proffitt & Associates for demonstrating their expertise in masonry repairs in the reconstruction of a historic brick and stone wall at 45 East All Saints Street.
• The “New Construction” award went to Hemby Custom Homes, Inc., Caddworks, and Thomas Trott, Jr for three houses recently constructed at 122, 124 and 126 East 5th Street.
