FPD Youth Police Academy June 27th – 30th
FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick Police Department is pleased to offer the 14th annual Youth Police Academy. This program provides youth ages 7 and up with a close-up look at Law Enforcement and tools of the trade.
Youth will have the opportunity to learn what it is like to be a police officer, by participating in scenarios, learning about stranger danger, internet safety, having a chance to see departmental equipment, watch a K-9 demonstration, dust for fingerprints, process a staged crime scene and receive information on departmental programs. All attendees will also have the chance to attempt a physical agility course.
The academy will offer 3 sessions for ages 7-12 and 1 session for ages 13 & up.
June 27, 28th & 29th ages 7-12 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
June 30th ages 13 and up 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
Registration for each session is limited to 50 youth per day. The program will be held at the Charles V. Main Training Facility located at 6424 Plant Road, Frederick Maryland.
