City Seeking Interested Individuals to Serve as Alternate on the Zoning Board of Appeals
Frederick, MD – May 3, 2016: There is one vacancy on the Zoning Board of Appeals for an alternate member with a term of three years. All members must be City residents. The ZBA generally meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., with a “field trip” the preceding Friday at 3:00 p.m.
The ZBA hears and decides applications for variances and conditional uses, as well as certain appeals. The role of the Alternate is limited to participation in the event that a regular member is absent or has recused themselves from a particular case.
Interested individuals should send a letter of interest and a recent resume to Amber Grimes, Commission Coordinator, 101 Court Street, Frederick, MD 21701 or email to agrimes@cityoffrederick.com. Applications must be received no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, May 13, 2016.
