The Frederick Police Department’s Patrol Division has charged a male and female after committing Vehicle Theft and Theft Less than $1,000…
On 04-25-2016, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the Wegmans located at 7830 Wormans Mill Road, in Frederick City, in reference to a theft. As Officers were en route to the store, Loss Prevention officer’s at Wegmans provided a description of the suspects and their vehicle that had fled from the parking lot.
Officers eventually located that vehicle and conducted a registration check on the vehicle through the National Crime Information Center that listed it as stolen out of Gaithersburg, Maryland. Officers then conducted a felony stop on the vehicle and placed both occupants of the vehicle under arrest without incident. They were identified as John Morse (driver) and Kelly Green (passenger).
Stolen property was located within the vehicle from Wegmans. It was also later determined that Green had an active warrant through the U.S. Marshals.
Officer First Class Tyler Deatrich, of the Frederick Police Department’s Patrol Squad A, was assigned as the lead investigator in this case.
