The Frederick Police Department has made two arrests in the homicide of Brian Mario Graves.

The Frederick Police Department has made two arrests in the homicide of Brian Mario Graves. On Thursday, April 7, 2016 detectives obtained arrest warrants for Alexis Adria Lucas, age 23 of Frederick and Tierra Nicole Lucas, age 29 of Frederick, charging them both with 1st degree murder and 1st degree assault. The suspects were taken into custody without incident shortly after 3:00PM. Both suspects are awaiting appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
Through extensive investigation, detectives were able to determine Graves and Alexis Lucas became engaged in a physical altercation inside the Olde Towne Tavern shortly after 1:30AM on Monday, April 4, 2016. After leaving the establishment, another altercation was initiated outside involving Graves, Alexis Lucas and Tierra Lucas. During this second altercation, Alexis Lucas and Tierra Lucas confronted Graves, where he was subsequently stabbed in the upper torso with an edged weapon. Alexis and Tierra Lucas left the scene prior to police arrival. Graves later died from his injuries at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Hospital in Baltimore, MD.
Detectives are still trying to determine what led up to the altercation inside the establishment. Preliminarily, it appears the victim and suspects were not acquainted and the incident stemmed from a verbal dispute.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing. No additional information will be released at this time. Detectives are still attempting to identify and locate witnesses to the assault who may have been a patron of the Olde Towne Tavern or in the 300 block of N. Market Street when the assault occurred Monday morning.

On Tuesday April 5, 2016 the victim in this case, Brian Mario Graves, succumbed to injuries he sustained as a result of this assault and died at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Brian Graves was a 36 year old resident of Frederick, MD.
The Frederick Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident as a homicide investigation. Detectives are currently attempting to identify and locate witnesses to the assault who may have been a patron of the Olde Towne Tavern or in the 300 block of N. Market Street when the assault occurred Monday morning.

Previous Release:
On April 4, 2016 at approximately 1:34 AM Frederick Police Officers responded to the 300 block of N Market Street for a reported disturbance involving a fight.
As Officers arrived on scene they located an adult male victim with injuries from an apparent stabbing. The victim was transported to a regional trauma center for treatment of his injuries. Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene to handle the investigation. Det. Kevin Forrest has been assigned as the lead investigator for this case.
As a result of this investigation, N. Market Street was closed for several hours Monday morning. N. Market was reopened to traffic at approximately 6:10 AM.
