Commit to Conservation - Take the “My Water Pledge”
April 1st through April 30th - Free, Fun and You May Win Prizes!

Frederick, MD – March 31, 2016 Mayor Randy McClement encourages residents to show their commitment to conserving water and cutting pollution by taking the “My Water Pledge” during the month of April. The pledge is part of a national contest aimed at drastically reducing water and energy use across the nation. In return, residents can win prizes such as a new Toyota Prius, water fixtures, and hundreds of other prizes! Take the pledge at www.mywaterpledge.com.

Cities win prizes for resident participation and winning cities are eligible for additional prizes. Participants also benefit from resources in our area including energy-efficient, cost-savings tips for your home.

Mayor McClement said, “Water is our greatest resource. I encourage residents to join with me and take the pledge at mywaterpledge.com to help conserve and learn new ideas and approaches to conserving water and cutting pollution – and maybe win prizes in return. It’s fun, easy and a win-win all around.”

The Wyland Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conversation, runs from April 1st until April 30th and is a non-profit national community service competition developed by the Wyland Foundation and Toyota. The “My Water Pledge” program receives support from the National League of Cities, TORO, Water Sense, Conserva Irrigation, and Earth Friendly Products, makers of ECOS.
