2016 City of Frederick Historic Preservation Awards
Nomination Forms Available
Frederick, MD March 1, 2016: Nomination forms for the 2016 City of Frederick Historic Preservation Awards are now available at www.cityoffrederick.com/preservation (click on Resources) or in the Planning Department, Municipal Office Annex, 140 West Patrick Street.
Nominations are being accepted in the categories of rehabilitation, new construction, stewardship, community leadership, and craftsmanship. All nominations must be for properties at least 50 years old or older, located within The City of Frederick, and completed within the last three years. Properties do not have to be within the Frederick Town Historic District or have historic preservation overlay designation to be eligible for these awards.
Nominations will be evaluated by the Historic Preservation Awards committee according to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, as applicable.
Completed nomination forms must be submitted by April 1, 2016. The awards ceremony with be held in May 2016 with the final date and time to be announced.
