Frederick Police Department Makes Drug Arrest, CR#2016-11215

Frederick, MD.-On 02/16/2016 at approximately 5:03pm, OFC. Samantha Payne responded to the 500 Blk of Logan Street for a suspicious person call. Upon arrival, OFC. S. Payne was informed that a black male, posing a representative of Potomac Edison, was in area soliciting utility services. Off. S. Payne was able to locate the black male, later identified as Ronald Gordon, as he was driving away from the area.

Upon contact with Gordon, OFC. S. Payne discovered Gordon’s driving privilege in Maryland was currently suspended. Gordon also had the strong odor of marijuana coming his clothing. As a result, Gordon was placed under arrest. As officers looked into Gordon’s vehicle, they noticed suspected drug paraphernalia in the center console. Gordon’s vehicle was searched and suspected marijuana, over 10 grams, was recovered. Gordon was then transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center’s Central Booking Unit for processing.
