On 02/01/2016 at approx. 1520 hrs, FPD was dispatched for a reported theft in progress in the 200BLK of Bishops Glen Ct. Upon arrival, Officers found a subject, later identified as the defendant, Shane Crenshaw (B/M,11-10-1990, 100BLK of Heathfield Dr) being detained by the victim. The investigation into the incident revealed that Crenshaw was observed inside the victim's vehicle and the victim then went to confront Crenshaw. Crenshaw then stepped out from the truck and dropped property belonging to the victim. Crenshaw reached for his waistband and the victim then tackled Crenshaw, fearing Crenshaw was reaching for a weapon. While struggling with Crenshaw, neighbors assisted and called 911. Crenshaw was then taken into custody upon arrival by Officers and then transported to Central Booking without incident.
