The Frederick Police Department has launched a new program "Caught Being Good".
The Directed Patrol Team created a "Caught Being Good" program in partnership with local businesses to establish a reward system for citizens observed in random acts of kindness, good deeds or involved in positive community activities. This program will help build positive relations between the Frederick Police Department, local businesses and the community.
On December 9, 2015, Flippin Pizza (36 S. Market St.) hosted a pizza party for the Frederick PAL kids. The owner of Flippin Pizza, Vikas Bansal invited the Frederick Police Department, members of City Hall, and the PAL center to enjoy pizza and learn about the new program.
Frederick Police Officers will be handing out "Caught Being Good" cards with coupons for a free slice of pizza, drinks and desserts to citizens who are caught demonstrating good behavior, kind acts or showing respect.
The Frederick Police Department has also partnered with Roy Rogers and 7 Eleven (501 N. East St.) who have donated numerous coupons for the program.
