City Government Offices Closed For Thanksgiving - Revised
Schedule for Trash / Yard Waste Collection


Frederick, MD, November 24, 2015: Frederick, MD

Revision - Commercial Business Recycling Service (not RESIDENTIAL):
Recycling will not be collected on Friday, November 27th, but will return to the normal schedule on Monday, November 30th.

The City of Frederick Government Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Offices will reopen at regularly scheduled times on Monday, November 30th.

Clarification to the schedule is as follows:
• The Frederick Community Action Agency Soup Kitchen will be open on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th serving free evening meals from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. All other services will re-open on Monday, November 30th.
• The Food Bank will be closed Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th
• Parking meters and all City parking decks will be open for free parking from Thursday, November 26th, Thanksgiving Day thru Sunday evening, November 29th. The parking decks will resume normal operations at 6:00AM on Monday morning, November 30th.

• The William Talley Fitness Center:
o Wednesday, November 25th - Close at 9:00 PM
o Thursday, November 26th - Closed
o Friday November 27th - Open at 8:00 AM.

Trash Collection Services:

Residential:
There will be NO trash collection service on Thursday, November 26th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

• If you normally set your household trash out on Wednesday evening for Thursday collection please set your trash out on Thursday evening for Friday collection.
• If you normally set your household trash out on Thursday evening for Friday collection please set your trash out on Sunday evening for Monday collection.

Commercial Downtown Business District:

Commercial Business Trash Service:
Trash WILL be collected on normal schedule.

Commercial Business Recycling Service (not RESIDENTIAL):
Recycling will not be collected on Friday, November 27th, but will return to the normal schedule on Monday, November 30th.

Yard Waste Collection Services:

There will be NO yard waste collection on Thursday, November 26th or Friday, November 27th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Residents are asked to hold their yard waste until the next scheduled collection date.
