The Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team has located and arrested a man wanted for assault
On 09-25-2015, a member of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team observed a traffic violation and initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 100 block of E Patrick Street, in Frederick City.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as, Trevin Tyray Harris. Through the initial investigation it was determined Harris had an active arrest warrant in reference to the first degree assault of another individual.
The arrest warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred on 07-29-2015. During this incident it was reported Harris pushed a known associate against a table and held a knife to the person’s throat. In addition, it was reported Harris threw a glass candle holder at the person, striking them in the head. During the incident the victim received minor injuries to their throat and a laceration to their ear. The knife used during the assault was located in the residence where the crime occurred. Harris was unable to be located on the date of the crime, and charges were filed against him, resulting in the issuance of the arrest warrant.
Harris was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
