New Wayfinding Signage at Western City Limits
Frederick, MD – August 31, 2015: The Golden Mile Alliance Design Committee identified the need and requested support from the Mayor and Board of Aldermen to facilitate the installation of a wayfinding sign at the western limits of The City of Frederick.
“This Western entrance to the City is a highly traveled and visible area. I am thrilled that we now have this beautiful sign to introduce travelers entering the City from this direction. I commend the Golden Mile Alliance for their foresight and vision for the Golden Mile area” said Mayor Randy McClement.
The new signage provides consistency and conforms with the City’s Wayfinding Program. The wayfinding project is one of several visual enhancements planned by the Golden Mile Alliance.
Other planned initiatives include a banner program along Route 40 and the implementation of a façade improvement program in partnership with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development and The City of Frederick.
