City Seeking Interested Individual to Serve on the Parks and Recreation Commission
Frederick, MD August 31, 2015 - The City of Frederick is seeking an individual interested in filling an unexpired term on the Parks and Recreation Commission. The Parks and Recreation Commission may develop and recommend to the Planning Commission and Board of Aldermen a master parks plan, updated by individual park plans; may make recommendations to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen concerning the equipment, design, supervision and operation of all parks; may approve the use of all parks provided the use will not require the expenditure of City funds; and may recommend to the Board of Aldermen approval of the use of parks if the use requires the expenditure of City funds.
The individual must be a resident of the City, own property in the City, or operate a business or have primary employment with a business located in The City of Frederick.
