Frederick Police Detectives make an arrest for the stabbing incident on Alban Court

Frederick Police Detectives have been working tirelessly to identify and arrest the suspect(s) responsible for a brutal knife attack on a man and a woman on 8/28/2015, on Alban Court in Frederick, MD. On 08/31/2015, detectives were able to identify and arrest Juan Enrique Dominguez-Lopez (DOB:10/13/1996) for charges related to the assault that put both victims in the hospital with serious injuries.

It was based on evidence collected and information received through numerous interviews with witnesses and community members, that lead detectives to the positive identification of Dominguez-Lopes as one of the suspects involved in the attack. Mr Dominguez-Lopez was identified as one of the suspects who attacked the male victim with a large "machete style" knife causing critical injuries requiring the victim to be airlifted to Baltimore Shock trauma where he underwent surgery to save his life. Mr Dominguez-Lopez's actions resulted in severe injuries to the male victim who is still listed in serious condition in an area hospital where he is recovering from his injuries.

Based on the severity of the attack and the amount of violence delivered on the victim, Mr Dominguez-Lopez faces numerous felony charges including Attempted 1st Degree Murder, 1st degree assault and 1st degree burglary. Mr Dominguez-Lopez was arrested on August 31, 2015, and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he is being held pending an appearance before a district Court Commissioner.

This investigation is still open and ongoing while detectives continue their efforts to identify additional suspects in this case.

On 08/28/2015 at approximately 8:21 AM Frederick Police Officers responded to a reported assault in progress at an apartment located in the 1200 block of Alban Court Frederick, MD. Officers arrived on scene and located two assault victims suffering from serious injuries.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division responded to investigate the incident and remained on scene throughout much of the day. Det. Doug Ames was assigned as the primary investigator. The investigation completed by Det. Ames revealed that the two victims were assaulted inside of an apartment. One victim was transported by Maryland State Police Aviation to a regional trauma center with life threatening injuries. The other victim was transported by ambulance to a regional trauma center for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives believe three to four Hispanic male suspects assaulted the victims. At this time there are no further details regarding the suspects. All three to four suspects are believed to have fled from the area on foot and in a vehicle. There is no vehicle information available at this time.

The Frederick Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing at the Apartments at Alban Place, Frederick Maryland at 820 am 08/28/15. There are two confirmed victims at this time being treated by EMS A male subject is being flown by MSP Trooper 3 and a female is being transported by EMS for treatment.
