Frederick, MD.-On 08/27/2015 at approximately 1:07am, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the 1400 Blk of Baker Place West for suspicious persons attempting to open car doors in the parking lot.
Frederick, MD.-On 08/27/2015 at approximately 1:07am, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the 1400 Blk of Baker Place West for suspicious persons attempting to open car doors in the parking lot. Upon arrival, Off. Ryan Stotler and OFC. Chris Stanley immediately observed two males open the rear hatch door of a parked sports utility vehicle. Once the two males shut the door, both Off. Stotler and OFC. Stanley confronted the males and identified them as J Lorenzo Alonso and Jonathan Tobias Jabbie.
After making contact with a witness and positively identifying both Alonso and Jabbie, both subjects were placed under arrest. After searching the subjects incident to arrest, several items were recovered that were taken from vehicles in the area. After gathering more information at the scene, both subjects were transported to the Frederick Count Adult Detention Center for processing.
The Frederick Police Department is urging citizens to not leave electronics, valuables and other personal items in their vehicle, in plain view, while it is unattended. Also, citizens need to lock their car doors when their vehicle will be left unattended for an extended period of time.
