The City of Frederick Government Offices Closed on Labor Day
Trash/Yard Waste/Recycling Schedules Change
Frederick, MD – August 27, 2015: The City of Frederick Government Offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2015 for the Labor Day holiday. Offices will reopen at their regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
Clarification to the schedule is as follows:
• William Talley Recreation Center will be closed on Sunday, September 6th Monday, September 7th.
• The Food Bank and Frederick Community Action Agency (FCAA) will be closed on Monday, September 7th.
• The Soup Kitchen will be serving a free meal from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 7th.
• Parking meters and parking decks are free on Monday, September 7th.
Trash Collection – The City of Frederick will not provide trash collection services on Monday, September 7, 2015. This applies to customers that normally set out trash on Sunday, evening for Monday morning collection. Your trash collection will take place on Tuesday, September 8th. Please put your trash out Monday evening, September 7th for collection on Tuesday morning, September 8th.
Downtown Commercial District – There will be no recycling collection for the Downtown Commercial District. Please hold recycling until the next regular collection day.
Yard Waste Collection – This addresses curbside yard waste collection for residents that normally set their yard waste out on the first Monday of each month. Do not set yard out on Sunday, September 6th for the Monday, September 7th pickup. Please hold your yard waste until the next regularly scheduled collection day which will be Monday, September 21st.
