The Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team has made an arrest of a Middletown man and a Frederick woman for possession of heroin, and related paraphernalia…
On 08-19-2015, officers of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of W. Patrick Street and Baughman’s Lane, in Frederick City.
While conducting surveillance on the suspicious vehicle, officers observed a traffic violation in the area of Grouse Court and Grouse Drive. As officers approached the vehicle, they observed the front passenger, identified as Andrew William Hall, making furtive movements within the passenger’s compartment of the vehicle. As OFC Malatesta made contact with Mr. Hall, he observed him attempting to conceal an item wrapped in notebook paper. The passenger was removed from the vehicle and the item was recovered. A closer inspection of the item revealed that it was suspected heroin. Mr. Hall was then placed under arrest for possession of heroin. During a search of his person additional heroin and drug paraphernalia was located on his person. Approximately 20 grams of heroin was recovered from the traffic stop, along with a substantial amount of currency, indicating Mr. Hall’s intent to distribute the controlled dangerous substance.
The driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Ashleigh Rose Harnsberger, was also arrested and charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia for heroin.
Both Hall and Harnsberger were transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
