Detectives from the Frederick Police Department arrest Ean Thomas for shots fired in Lucas Village in May of 2014.
On 05/29/2014 at approximately 0014 hours officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the 100 Block of Rhode Island Court for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival officers were able to determine that no individuals were struck by the gunfire. However several key pieces of evidence were able to be recovered with the assistance of the community.
Det. Kidwell was assigned as the lead investigator in this case. Through her investigation she was able to identify Ean Cardin Thomas (B/M 12/18/1982), of the 600 Block of West Patrick Street, as a potential suspect. Through DNA and other forensic evidence Mr. Thomas was charged with the following charges;
2 Counts of 1st Degree Assault
2 Counts of Reckless Endangerment
1 Count of the Use of a Firearm to commit a Felony
1 Count of Carrying a Handgun on person
1 Count of Discharge of a firearm within Frederick City Limits
Mr. Thomas was brought back to Frederick today and served with the arrest warrant. At the time of this release he is being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center awaiting to see the District Court Commissioner. Any questions should be directed to Lt.
