The Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team arrested a wanted man after conducting a traffic stop
On 06-11-2015, officers of the Frederick Police Department’s Street Crimes Team observed the driver of a vehicle to conduct a traffic violation in the area of N Market Street and 9th Street, in Frederick City.
Officer First Class Justin Thomas and Officer Michael Murphy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle based on their observations. Through the course of the traffic stop, the driver was identified as, Christopher Antonio Carney. A driver’s license check was completed on Carney and it was determined Carney did not possess a driver’s license. Additionally, a warrant check was completed on Carney, where it was determined Carney had three (3) active arrest warrants through the Montgomery County Police Department.
Carney was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for processing.
