A Frederick woman has been arrested and charged in a stabbing incident Sunday morning...
On 05/17/2015 at approximately 5:50 AM Frederick Police Officers responded to a reported stabbing in the 1300 Block of N East Street Frederick, MD.
Officers arrived on scene and located an adult female victim in the area. This victim was suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound to the arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Det. Renninger responded to the scene as the lead investigator in this case.
The subsequent investigation completed by Det. Renninger revealed that the victim and suspect were known to one another prior to the assault occurring. The suspect was later identified to be Victoria Lynn Spinks of Frederick, MD. Spinks and the victim were inside the residence of Spinks, located in the unit block of E 15th Street Frederick, MD, when the two began physically fighting. During this physical fight Spinks had a knife and stabbed the victim in the arm.
The victim fled the apartment to the 1300 Block of N East Street with Spinks following. The victim was able to get away from Spinks to seek help for her injuries. Spinks was located by officers at her residence in the unit block of E 15th Street where she was arrested without incident. Spinks has been transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
