[ARCHIVED] Driver with Multiple Aliases has Arrest Warrant, 15-037547

Jacobs, Erin.jpg

On May 12 at about 12:40 AM, Officer Fast of the Frederick Police Department stopped a vehicle for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The driver told the officer she had left her license at home, and provided a name, which matched the name on the registration. However, contrary to the assertion of the driver, no Pennsylvania driving record was found under that name. The driver provided a social security number, which also failed to return any record.

Officer Fast arrested the driver for failure to satisfactorily identify herself on a traffic stop. During a search of the driver incident to arrest, she was found to be clenching a wallet between her legs under her dress. Inside the wallet, Officer Fast located a counterfeit North Carolina driver's license. The information on the counterfeit license did return a record. The officer also located a social security card which agreed with the counterfeit license. This record identified the driver as Erin Michele Jacobs (04-16-1963.) The officer also found a US passport with a slightly different spelling of Jacobs' name.

Jacobs was found to have an open but non-extraditable warrant through North Carolina, and another open warrant through Washington County, for driving while suspended. Jacobs' North Carolina license was suspended. At Central Booking, further investigation revealed yet another alias, under which an expired Pennsylvania license record was found from 1999.

Jacobs admitted to the officer that the name she initially provided was that of her deceased mother.
