A Frederick woman was arrested Monday afternoon after a domestic assault...
On 04/06/2015 at approximately 2:47 PM Frederick Police Officers responded to the 700 Block of Motter Avenue for a reported stabbing.
As officers arrived on scene they made contact with the suspect, Rosy Santiago-Barrera, and the victim inside of their residence. The victim was suffering from non-life threatening stab wounds at this time. The victim was subsequently transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Detective Renninger was assigned as the primary investigator assigned for this case. Through Detective Renninger’s investigative efforts it was determined that the suspect and victim were known to one another and in a relationship. The investigation further revealed that the two got into an argument which escalated into an assault. During the assault the victim was stabbed by Santiago-Barrera.
Santiago-Barrera was placed under arrest by Det. Renninger for the below listed offenses. Santiago-Barrera was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center to be seen by a District Court Commissioner.
