Subject arrested at the Goodwill Store on Willowdale Drive for peeping in the ladies fitting rooms.
On today’s date at approximately 1259 hrs. Off. Todd Keeran was patrolling in the vicinity of the new Goodwill Store located at 101 Willowdale Drive in Frederick. He was flagged down by citizens and advised that a male subject had just run from the store after being in the ladies fitting rooms. Witnesses advised the direction of travel the subject used and other officers began an area canvass. Further investigation at the scene determined the subject had been in the fitting rooms taking photos of female customers under the dividers between stalls. The subject was described as a W/M of average height wearing a dark blue hoodie and tan cargo style pants. As officers searched the area, OFC. Marvin Cox spotted a suspect fitting the description near the rental office at the Manor Apartment complex. OFC. Cox engaged in a short foot pursuit and apprehended the suspect. Other officers recovered additional evidence related to the crime at the scene of the arrest. During the time the suspect fled the store he pushed a citizen walking down the sidewalk on Willowdale Drive. That person was identified and interviewed as well as other victims and witnesses at the scene. No one was injured during this incident.
The suspect is identified as Dominick William Spangler, W/M/04-24-75 of the 4000 blk. of Tulip Tree Lane in Middletown, MD. He is being charged with:
Peeping Tom
Prurient Intent
2nd Degree Assault
Spangler is currently awaiting an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
