Officers from the Frederick Police Department arrested two people after drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop.
On 03/27/2015 at approximately 6:00PM, officers from the Frederick Police Department received a call for service in reference to subjects possibly engaged in drug activity, coming from a motel in the 7600 block of Willow Ave. Officer Mangot and Officer Bentley initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the area and based on several indicators, a K-9 officer was dispatched to the scene. The K-9 gave a positive alert to the presence of CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substance) coming from the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, officers located a hidden compartment made from a factory void in the center console which yielded a quantity of suspected heroin, a quantity of suspected cocaine, and drug paraphernalia indicative of a possession with intent to distribute.
