The City of Frederick Government Offices Closed on Veterans’ Day
Trash Collection in Specific Areas

Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick Government Offices will be closed in observance of Veterans’ Day on Friday, November 11, 2011. Offices will reopen at regularly scheduled times on Monday, November 14, 2011.

Clarification to the schedule is as follows:

• All parking decks and metered parking will be free in downtown Frederick

• The William Talley Recreation Center will be open for business as usual on Veterans’ Day.

• The Frederick Community Action Agency Soup Kitchen will be open from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.

• The FCAA and Foodbank will be closed

In addition, trash will be collected on Veterans’ Day, Friday, November 11th in the following areas only:

• Downtown Commercial District

• Walnut Ridge
• Rocky Pointe
• Whittier Ridge

All other areas in the City will be collected on the next regularly scheduled collection day.
