Frederick County, Md. – The Department of Solid Waste Management is announcing the postponement of curbside recycling service for Tuesday, February 17, in response to the winter storm affecting our region. There will be no recycling collection on Tuesday; if recycling carts are already curbside, residents are asked to remove them. To assist the county’s Highway Operations Department with road clearing efforts, no carts should be placed curbside until the storm has passed and roads have been cleared.
Recycling service normally scheduled for Tuesday will take place on Wednesday, February 18 instead. As a result, Wednesday’s normal recycling service will shift to Thursday, February 19. Affected regions include the City of Frederick, Ijamsville, New Market, Monrovia, Mt. Airy, Mt. Pleasant, Urbana and surrounding areas.
